Man sentenced to 15 years in prison for October 2020 stabbing

AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — A Potter County jury sentenced 42-year-old John Richard Dudas to 15 years in prison for murder after he was convicted of stabbing another person to death in 2020.

Court documents detailed that Dudas was charged for the stabbing of 34-year-old Peter Christophe Fischer that occurred on Amarillo Boulevard in October 2020 and resulted in Fischer’s death.

As previously reported by MyHighPlains.com, the stabbing occurred on Oct. 9, 2020, and Fischer died at the scene from his injuries at approximately 9:30 p.m.
