AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Law enforcement arrested a Clements Unit prison guard Thursday for taking a bribe to supply an inmate with a cell phone. According to a Potter County indictment, 33-year-old Robert Earsley took cash from two men in 2022 to break a law against taking prohibited items into a prison. The indictment says Earsley had a cell phone with the intent to give it to an inmate.

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - Consolidated Nuclear Security (CNS) has agreed to pay $18.4 million to settle claims of timecard fraud at Pantex. According to the Department of Justice, CNS has agreed to settle the allegations that between July 1, 2014 and June 30, 2020, the company submitted false claims to the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) for time not worked at the Pantex site. The U.S. paid CNS for that time under the contact.
