Schroeder scores 100th career goal as Regis/McDonell closes in on conference title
Regis/McDonell girls soccer crushed Assumption 7-0 Monday in a game between the top two teams in the Mid-Western Wisconsin Conference standings. Senior Annabelle Schroeder finished with four goals and reached the 100-goal milestone for her career with the Saints. Schroeder scored a pair of goals in the first half at the 25th and 26th minutes and also scored the first two goals of the second half in the 46th and 58th minutes. Colleen Callaghan assisted on three of Schroeder's goals. The Saints now stand at 12-1-1 — the lone loss coming to Division 1 Eau Claire North — on the season and 9-0-0 in conference play. With three conference games remaining, Regis/McDonell now stands five points clear of Assumption, meaning the Saints need just one draw down the stretch to clinch at least a share of the conference title. Any combination of two points would give the Saints the outright title.

During this time, I never left the house, I didn’t have enough energy to change out of my pajamas and get into my pants. ...
