Taylor County man dead following farming equipment incident
TOWN OF JUMP RIVER, Wis. (WEAU) - A Taylor County man is dead following a farming equipment incident. According to a press release from the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, on April 21, 2024, at 1:43 p.m. the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a man trapped underneath a manure spreader near N8869 State Highway 73 in the Town of Jump River. Authorities responded.

Emotions ran high as the Town of Thorp board met in a special meeting on April 16 to decide on a construction contractor for the future town hall and shop scheduled to begin construction in May. At the start of the meeting, held before the regular annual meeting, Chairman Jerry Jacks read the requirements regarding the acceptance of bids stating that the board must choose the lowest bidder who in this case is James Hickman of Hickman Buildings.

RHINELANDER, Wis. (WJFW)- To say that Medford softball sophomore Rylee Hraby has had a big week might not be doing her justice. The Raider star capped off a week in which she has hit .727 with a two homer game against Rhinelander. The first home runs of Hraby's career, the first was a three run shot in the first inning. Her second came in the second almost landing in the same spot as the Raiders cruised to a 21-3 win over the Hodags.
