Boiler Girls fall in regional championship game
The Kewanee Boiler Girls were eliminated from postseason play after suffering a loss to Riverdale on Friday in the championship game of the 2A Riverdale Regional. Down 0-2 in the top of the sixth inning, Kewanee fought back and tied the game at 2-2, but the Rams responded by scoring five runs in the bottom of the inning, dashing Kewanee’s hopes of a regional title win.
