Doctor assaulted at UPMC Williamsport
Williamsport, Pa. — A doctor was injured from blocking a punch by a patient who wanted to leave UMPC Williamsport at the end of May. James Anthony Warner, 67, of Lock Haven told the victim, “I’ll punch you in your f***ing face” when asked to remain at the hospital, according to UMPC Police Officer Derron Farber. Warner’s attempt was stopped by the doctor, Farber added. The victim’s forearm was cut from the block, according to the complaint. Warner is being charged with second-degree felony aggravated assault, simple assault, and harassment. Warner is free on $10,000 unsecured bail.
