Robbinsville sophomore Johnny Fowler had been in this situation a couple of times before, so he wasn’t surprised when coach Mike Kinsella gave him the sign. In the 12th of the top inning, Kinsella decided it was time to play small ball with a runner on third base and one out. He signaled to Fowler to bunt so Robbinsville could execute a squeeze play.
