Visit Albuquerque highlights May events throughout the city

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The month of May is already here and Lara Brockway from Visit Albuquerque has a list of some events happening around the city during May.

New Mexico United vs. Real Salt Lake

• May 8, 7 p.m. at Rio Grande Credit Union Field at Isotopes Park. New Mexico takes on Real Salt Lake in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. This will be the first time in history that New Mexico hosts a Major League Soccer opponent.

Follow Eric Walking Tours

• May 11, from 9 – 10 a.m. Guests will meet at the Downtown Growers market and take a walking tour and explore some of the city’s architecture and history from the 1920’s to today.

Bard Crawl

• Held at multiple locations on a number of days throughout the month. People will get to watch the Shakespearean comedy “As You Like It” at local venues throughout the city. The performances will be put on by the Duke City Repertory Theatre.

Boots in the Park

• May 18, from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Balloon Fiesta Park. The country music festival is coming to Albuquerque and includes artists Thomas Rhett, Chris Young, Chris Janson, Kameron Marlow and Dylan Schneider.

Tails, Trails and Treats

• May 18, from 9 – 11 a.m. at the Sandia Peak Tramway. Pet owners are invited to bring their dogs to the base of the tram. There will be complimentary dog treats, local dog companies, live music, dog-friendly hiking maps and more for pet owners and dogs to enjoy.
