ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. (KRQE) – The man who initially avoided prison time for impersonating a Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office deputy will now head to prison for violating probation. Rico Dukes pled guilty last year to posing as a law enforcement officer on a dating app. Investigators later learned he dressed up like a deputy while visiting Volcano Vista High School.

KRQE News 13 has learned a judge revoked Duke’s probation on Wednesday after he picked up a new charge for trying to steal credit cards from the woman he was staying with while on probation. Dukes will now serve two years in prison in the impersonation case.
