    Albany man pleads guilty to drug trafficking

    ALBANY, N.Y. ( NEWS10 )– A jury found an Albany man guilty of drug trafficking and gun crimes on Friday. Brandon Bartley, 26, is facing at least 15 years to life for trafficking fentanyl, cocaine, methamphetamine, and possession of over 30 firearms.

    Bartley admitted he was involved in conspiracy to distribute, and that he possessed drugs with the intent to sell them from his apartment on Western Avenue in Albany. When police searched his home in May 2023, police seized the following:

    • 34 firearms
    • More than 400 grams of fentanyl pills
    • More than 7,000 grams of methamphetamine pills
    • More than 700 grams of cocaine

    Bartley’s sentencing is Thursday, Sept. 12. When he finishes his sentence, he faces five years to life of probation and a fine of up to $10 million.

    Three other defendants are facing charges associated with this case. Anthony Luizzi pleaded guilty to drug and gun charges on Monday, March 18. Jabree Jones was charged with a term violation of his federal supervised release on May 23, 2023, and is detained pending a supervised release petition. Devon Newsome was accused of a criminal complaint for firearm trafficking crimes in December 2023 and was released with conditions.
