ACGC Girls Get Ready for State Track
(Guthrie Center, IA) ACGC girls’ track finished up their state-qualifying meet in Earlham as they will send four total events to the state track, including the 800-meter run, the 1500-meter run, the sprint medley and the distance medley. With only state track yet to come, head coach Colin Shawgo is happy with what they’ve accomplished this season and believes his program will be ready for years to come.
Final Results From IHSAA Class 1A District Golf Meet in Anita as Sidney Earns Team Victory
(Anita, IA) – At the Crestwood Hills Golf Course in Anita, the Sidney Cowboys were able to take a team District victory after shooting a 323 overall. Coming in second was MMCRU with a 329 alongside East Mills in third as they also shot a 329 as a team. In fourth it was CAM with a 330 and Alta-Aurelia followed up with a 332 in fifth and Earlham with 336 in sixth. Mount Ayr shot a 340 in seventh place while Audubon was able to capture eighth place with 344 on the day. East Union and Southeast Warren finished up in ninth and tenth with 351 and 371 respectively.
Final Results from Class 2A District Golf Play at Lake Panorama
(Panora, IA) – At the Lake Panorama National Golf Course in District play, Panorama was able to take first overall as a team with a total of 303 team points. Coming up right behind was Pella Christian in second with two strokes over first at 305. Treynor and Des Moines Christian was a close matchup for third as the Cardinals earned third by one stroke with a 322 while the Lions scored 323. Pleasantville came in fifth with 338, OABCIG earned sixth with 340, and Woodward-Granger took seventh with 345.
