$6 million bond issued for man accused of raping multiple women in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Ohio — A man who is accused of raping several women in Columbus is now being held on a $6 million bond. Michael Davis, 57, appeared in the Franklin County Municipal Court on Tuesday after being charged with three counts of rape and kidnapping. Judge Jessica D’Varga handed him a total bond of $6 million — $2 million on each case — with a warning of staying away from firearms and the victims.

Syringe service provider looks to expand into Columbus' west side to combat overdoses
COLUMBUS, Ohio — In an effort to curb an uptick in overdoses and overdose deaths on the west side of Columbus, a syringe service program is planning to expand into the area. Safe Point is a joint effort by Equitas Health and Columbus Public Health and provides clean syringes to people using drugs. Health advocates say providing clean needles helps prevent the spread of diseases like HIV and Hepatitis C and eventually reduces the number of overdoses.
