The driver who slammed into the back end of a St. Louis County deputy’s vehicle was under the influence, according to the criminal complaint. Court documents say 25-year-old Logan Niemi of Kinney, Minnesota crashed into the deputy’s SUV around 9 a.m. Monday morning. This happened on Highway 169 in Mountain Iron.
Range Shrine Circus returns after six year absence
HIBBING—The one and only Range Shrine Circus is making a comeback, carrying on a tradition that started in the 1950s. Hosted by the Range Shrine Club, the Range Shrine Circus historically a biannual event was last held in 2018 at the Hibbing Memorial Building. Time to clean out your medicine cabinets. Saturday, April 27 is National Prescription Drug Take Back Day. This program, in its 26th year, is a day for people to safely dispose of unused or or expired medications in order to help prevent drug misuse by getting unneeded medication out of access. Nationally, close to 600,00 pounds or 300 tons of unneeded medications were properly disposed of, according to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
