Elderly driver from Rutledge injured in crash south of Memphis
A two-vehicle accident occurred on Route MM, two miles south of Memphis, Missouri, at approximately 9:20 a.m. on Friday, April 26, 2024, resulting in injuries to a local man. Paul R. Chancellor, 72, of Rutledge, Missouri, was injured when his 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage ran off the right side of the road and overturned. Chancellor was transported by Scotland County Ambulance to Scotland County Hospital following the accident.
Suspect accused of threatening to kill Memphis man, firing shots into air
NEAR MEMPHIS, Mo. — A northeast Missouri suspect is in jail, accused of threatening to kill a man and firing a pistol into the air in front of the accuser's home. Lewis Dwayne Martin, 45, of Memphis, was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of first-degree stalking.
Trio of thieves succeed in robbing northeast Missouri bank over the weekend

Hale, 29, of Keokuk, Iowa, was involved in a collision when an unidentified vehicle swerved to avoid a deer, causing a chain reaction.

WARSAW, Ill. — The Warsaw Fire Department, 220 S. Fifth, will hold its 14th annual pancake breakfast fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, April 28. Cost for the all-you-can-eat breakfast is $7 for adults and $3 for children under the age of 10. The meal will include pancakes, biscuits and gravy, sausage links or patties and a drink.
Teen driver injured in Route C crash near Ewing
On April 19, 2024, at approximately 9:15 a.m., an accident occurred on Route C, 5.5 miles east of Ewing, Missouri, involving a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the truck was traveling westbound when it veered off the right side of the roadway and struck the ground.
