Woman dead after train strikes vehicle in Freestone Co.
FREESTONE COUNTY, Texas (FOX 44) – A 23-year-old woman is dead after her vehicle was struck by a train while crossing railroad tracks. Texas Department of Public Safety Troopers responded to the crash on CR-1001 at approximately 4 p.m. Wednesday. The crash occurred near Highway 14, north of Wortham.

Early Voting for Limestone County Primary Runoff begins Monday
The primary runoff election's early voting period is scheduled from Monday, May 20, to Friday, May 24, with the actual election day occurring on Tuesday, May 28. In Limestone County, the runoff election concerns the County Commissioner Precinct 1 seat and will feature candidates Kendall Funderburk and Jody Goodman.
