DICKINSON, N.D. (KFYR) - There are two seats open for the Dickinson City Commission, with a term of four years each. Four candidates are running, one is an incumbent. John Odermann has served on the city commission for four years. He works as the Director of Mission for CHI St. Alexius Health and is also the head football coach at Trinity High School. Odermann said he is running for re-election because he has seen a window of opportunity over the course of the next decade to see significant growth. He said he wants to continue to help guide Dickinson forward into the future. Odermann said if re-elected, he is looking to focus on four areas: growth mindset, fiscal responsibility, quality of life and building for the next generation.
