“A slap in the face:” Hundreds sign petition to retain Monk Gardens name in Wausau
A decision to rename Monk Botanical Gardens has sparked enormous public outrage, with hundreds of people signing a petition that asks for reconsideration. Monk Botanical Gardens will become Wausau Botanic Gardens, according to a news release issued Friday. The petition to reverse that decision, launched by Kolton Heldt, garnered more than 360 signatures in a 24-hour span.

First Alert Weather: Times of rain, risk of storms & gusty winds this weekend
WAUSAU, Wis. (WSAW) - Early showers Saturday could give way to some sun for the afternoon in parts of Central Wisconsin, however, there is a risk of isolated storms Saturday afternoon into the early evening. The next wave of rain will overspread the region on Sunday, lasting into the first half of Monday. Additional chances of showers with a chance of a storm are in the forecast for Tuesday late day and at night. Wednesday could be the driest day of the next several. More wet weather could be on tap for late in the week.
US Navy to participate in Wings over Wausau
Wausau Events will host their third Annual Wings Over Wausau Event on June 21 and 22, 2024 at the Wausau Airport.
