Collins Aerospace breaks ground on Rockford solar farm
ROCKFORD, Ill. (WIFR) - Leaders break ground Friday on a new solar farm that will give a brighter future to 6.5 acres of land on Harrison Avenue. RTX, Collins Aerospace’s parent company, and ENGIE North America entered a 15-year lease to improve environmental conditions through harvesting solar energy. In total, Rockford holds nine solar farms occupying 132 acres of land.
