The Shoshone County Sheriff confirmed Wednesday the body of Gene Jacobs, the lead pastor at Real Life Ministries Silver Valley, was found in a remote area near Pinehurst after an all day extensive search. Fisherman's body recovered from river
The body of a fisherman who reportedly fell Friday in the Coeur d’Alene River was recovered Saturday, according to the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page. The sheriff’s office responded Friday to a report of a fisherman drowning near Bumblebee on the Coeur d’Alene River, a Facebook post stated. Several agencies, using drones, divers, jet skis and a K-9 team, tried to locate the man. Crews found the man dead Saturday and removed him from the river. The sheriff’s office reminded people to be careful when fishing or boating this spring in local rivers. The water levels are high, and the river’s current is much faster than it appears, the Facebook page said.

Starting the season is a new melodrama, titled “Huckleberry Havoc, or…The Villain is in a Jam”. The schedule for this year’s melodrama is changing. There will be one melodrama that will be five weeks, with shows Thursday through Saturday at 7 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. Ticket price will remain $12. This show is written and directed by Carl Rowe, Paul Roberts and Carol Roberts.
