Possible Strong Storms For This Weekend
Alpena MI – Today was mostly sunny and mild, daytime highs were in the 50s. This weekend temperatures will be much warmer with showers and storms. We are in the slight risk for severe weather for Saturday. Tonight clouds will increase with showers developing with overnight lows in the 40s. Tomorrow will be mostly cloudy with showers & thunderstorms in the area; some storms could be strong and because of that we are under a slight risk of severe weather.
One dead, three injured in I-75 construction zone crash
Springfield Twp. — On April 13, the Michigan State Police Detroit Regional Communication Center was notified of a minor four car hit and run crash that occurred in the left lane of Northbound I-75 South of the East Holly Road bridge. The section of highway is currently a construction zone.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI – Lincoln high school students will prepare for careers that do not require four-year degrees through a new technical program focused on manufacturing. Alpena community college had a ribbon cutting to celebrate the opening of their new welding and manufacturing labs. “We basically just opened up our new lab and our, new lab here is state of the art lab. We’ve been working on this project, with planning for a few years and now it’s finally coming together, and we’re able to you know, offer our students an experience that’s, that’s really as good as, really any program in the nation” said Tim Ratz, welding instructor at Alpena community college.
