North East Carolina Prep - Caleb Thompson
BIOGRAPHY: My name is Caleb Thompson, I am a high school senior at North East Carolina Preparatory School in Tarboro, North Carolina. I have attended NECP since 9th grade; I also participate in the dual enrollment program with Edgecombe Community College. I am from a close-knit family where I am the youngest of three siblings, I have a sister Bridget, and a brother Freddie Lane. I have always had a fascination with civics, and have a deep love for our nation. In 2021 I competed in the American Legion Oritorical Contest, winning at the local, regional, and district levels. I was the first person from my post to make it to the state level in nearly a century, where I placed within the top 5 in the state. In 2023 I was given the opportunity to represent North Carolina in Washington D.C. as one of forty-three delegates in the North Carolina Youth Leadership Tour. This tour consisted of over 3,600 nationally selected delegates. These two opportunities broadened my understanding of leadership and encouraged me to be an active participant in the community. I have always wanted to help others in a meaningful way, it is my dream to become a family attorney. I believe that I can help give young children a voice during unsettling times. I hope to one day become a judge or even run for public office so that I can help make the world a better place for the generations to come. I plan to attend either William Peace’s Honors College or Campbell University. Wherever God leads me I want to help as many people as possible and make our community, nation, and world a place we are proud to call home.

BIOGRAPHY: Hi. I’m Aidan Knudsen and I am a 2024 graduating senior of SouthWest Edgecombe High School in Pinetops, NC. I have grown up attending public school in Edgecombe County. I first attended Carver Elementary as a 3-year-old PreK student through 5th grade, then I transitioned into South Edgecombe for middle school and finally SouthWest for grades 9th through 12th. I have also taken classes through Edgecombe Community College for the past two years.
