Pitt County woman arrested after illegal drugs found in search of home
PITT COUNTY — A Bethel woman was arrested after an investigation into the smuggling of illegal drugs into prisons. Law enforcement arrested Angela Wall Medlin, 44, was taken into custody after warrants were served after a search of the home at 164 Unit B on Nelson Street in Bethel.

Local runner raises money for homeless by running 30 marathons in 30 days
GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) - One runner in our area is raising money for a local homeless shelter but not in the way you would think. 22-year-old Lucas Autrey is running 30 marathons in 30 days. GREENVILLE, Pitt County — A couple busy roads in Greenville will be widened to four lanes to help with traffic. Construction will begin in 2026 to widen Old Tar Road and Evans Street at a cost of more than $160 million. The project was first drawn up in 2017.
