Charlottesville celebrates landmark tree for Arbor Day
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - The city of Charlottesville is celebrating Arbor Day by recognizing a landmark tree. The Charlottesville Area Tree stewards, Tree Commission members, and the Virginia Department of Forestry gathered together for Friday’s event. The tree recognized is a dawn redwood tree, located at the end of Pen Park Road. It was planted in 1986 in recognition of a former director.
More details emerge in UVa abduction case
New details in the Charlottesville abduction case emerged after the prosecutor gave a summary of evidence in court on Tuesday. WMRA's Randi B. Hagi reports.
