Mother, daughter seriously injured in crash on Route 104
A Wayne County woman and her elderly mother were seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash in Sodus, Wayne County, Tuesday afternoon. June E. Seiler, 65, of Williamson was driving west on Route 104 just before 1 p.m., when she rear-ended another westbound vehicle on the road, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Both vehicles were heavily damaged.
Auburn hospital, working with Upstate, opens new cancer treatment center
Auburn, NY -- Auburn Memorial Hospital opened a new cancer center Wednesday in collaboration with Upstate Medical University in Syracuse. The $15 million cancer center will have more than 30 employees and bring expertise from Upstate’s Cancer Center to the city in Cayuga County. It is located on the grounds of the hospital at North and Lansing streets.

County Clerk offices in Onondaga and Madison counties registered 24 new businesses during the week of June 2 through 8. Cayuga County has not registered any new businesses in the last two weeks. According to the county clerk website, the county building was closed at the end of May due to material damage from heavy rain. The clerk’s office is working on setting up a remote site and is currently doing limited electronic processing.
