Fairmont’s iconic ‘Lava House’ for sale
FAIRMONT, W.Va (WDTV) - After some renovations, the iconic ‘Lava House’ is in search of a new owner. Located on Fairmont Ave, the four-bedroom, six-bath, 4,400-square-foot property brings a unique style to Fairmont. The house was built in 1968 by West Virginia’s first female developer, Carol McWilliams. Since then, there have been two more owners who have emphasized Egyptian and Japanese styles with a flare of Frank Lloyd Wright. Realtor Alethea Wise, who purchased the property last year and lived at the lava house for months as renovations continued, says the next owner is hitting the jackpot.
