Two people in custody after chase, crash in north Lubbock
LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) - Two people have been arrested after a pursuit and crash Sunday evening. Just before 9 p.m., a Lubbock police officer spotted a stolen SUV in the 600 block of Marsha Sharp Fwy. The officer attempted to pull the vehicle over. However, the driver, later identified as 31-year-old Paul Bolanos, refused to stop.

TxDOT to close lanes Tuesday in central, North Lubbock to complete portions of projects
Two closures this week will impact Lubbock drivers' commutes starting Tuesday as the Texas Department of Transportation works on roads. According to TxDOT, the first lane closure will happen on May 28 at 9 a.m. as I-27 drivers will no longer be able to access Lubbock Business Park Boulevard from the northbound frontage road and will have to use the East Hunter Street access.

This week, we delved into wine, fine dining and other business news. Earlier in the week, I visited Bingham Family Vineyards and Bingham Family Farms just outside of Meadow. The family and staff detailed the land's 123-year history, from cotton to peanuts to wine. They recently released a new wine through H-E-B in honor of Blake Eddie Bingham, who died in 2021. The wine helps fund the Blake Eddie Scholarship, which helps viticulture and enology students at Texas Tech University and Texas A&M.
