We are back this week after the hiatus from the Memorial Day three day weekend which only means one thing. A lot of mugshots and things you missed. If you haven't been living in Texas the past two weeks then you might be in Seattle but lately with all the rain it's hard to tell the difference between the two. That's right we have had tons of rain just hitting Texas and hopefully bringing in lots of crops this fall. One downside is all the flooding that's been happening in cities and rural areas. Don't worry though, if you live in Texas then you could take advantage of the situation and start collecting your own rainwater. It's perfectly legal and encouraged in Texas.
Man identified in fatal East Lubbock crash on Sunday night
A man died in Lubbock Sunday night, after a vehicle struck a pedestrian in East Lubbock, according to a police news release. About 9:45 p.m. Sunday, June 4, police arrived in the 1800 block of Parkway Drive to a reported vehicle crash with a pedestrian. Officers found Rickey Morrison, 60, with serious injuries. He was transported to UMC, where he was pronounced deceased.

Region V Drug Task Force Seizes 2.1 kilos of Cocaine
CLOVIS, NM – On May 26th, Region V Drug Task Force seized 2.1 kilos of cocaine, 39 grams of crack cocaine, and 15 firearms, one of which had been reported stolen out of Lubbock, Texas, from a search warrant in the 1800 block of Jonquil Park regarding drug trafficking. Charges are to be filed against 35-year-old Justin Sneed and 28-year-old Sarah Ratigan.

3-vehicle crash in northeast Lubbock Co. leaves one seriously injured
LUBBOCK COUNTY, Texas (KCBD) - A crash in northeast Lubbock County has left one person seriously injured and two others moderately injured. DPS troopers responded to the 11000 block of N FM 1729 on Wednesday for reports of a three-vehicle crash. Upon arrival, they found the passenger in one of the involved pick-up trucks had been seriously injured. Two of the drivers were also left with moderate injuries.

Lubbock man admits to brother-in-law's shooting death, sentenced to 20 years
A 37-year-old man who admitted to fatally shooting his brother-in-law three years ago in the back seat of a vehicle was sentenced Thursday to 20 years in prison. Adrian Castillo, who has been out on bond since Oct. 16, 2019, appeared before District Judge William Eichman and pleaded guilty to a count of manslaughter in connection with the Sept. 28, 2019, shooting death of 36-year-old George Garcia Jr.
