Garage at residential home on Sixth Street suffers damage in Sunday morning fire
QUINCY — An attached garage suffered damage in a Sunday morning fire at a two-story residential home on the city’s south side. The Quincy Fire Department was alerted at 10:35 a.m. Sunday to a house fire at 725 S. Sixth. The first crew arrived on the scene at 10:39 a.m. and observed smoke coming from the eaves of the single-car attached garage. A hose line was deployed as the second fire truck and assistant chief arrived.

Suspect accused of threatening to kill Memphis man, firing shots into air
NEAR MEMPHIS, Mo. — A northeast Missouri suspect is in jail, accused of threatening to kill a man and firing a pistol into the air in front of the accuser's home. Lewis Dwayne Martin, 45, of Memphis, was arrested Tuesday and charged with two counts of unlawful use of a weapon and one count of first-degree stalking.
