RI Weather: Providence has morning flood warning after rainy night
The National Weather Service issued a flood warning for this morning for parts of Rhode Island and Massachusetts after between 1 to 3 inches of rain fell overnight. "The areas that see typical nuisance flooding will be dealing with the majority of the flooding today," Meteorologist Bill Leatham of the National Weather Service said. "But the swath of rain that's currently on us will begin to drift away this afternoon."

Warwick man sentenced to prison for attempting to solicit a minor
WARWICK, R.I. (WLNE) — A Warwick man was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison for attempting to solicit a minor. The United States Attorney’s Office for Rhode Island said 64-year-old Richard Senecal admitted that in April 2022, he engaged in sexually explicit online communications with who believed was a 14-year-old boy.
Second Suspect in 2023 North Norwich Trailer Theft Arrested in Rhode Island
The Chenango County Sheriff's Office says the second suspect in the theft of a trailer last summer has been arrested in Rhode Island. In July 2023, an enclosed trailer was reported stolen from a business in North Norwich. Two suspects, Michael Garramone of Remsen, NY and Derek Crouse of Whitesboro, NY, were identified after the vehicle used in the larceny was tracked into Oneida County from security camera footage. Garramone was arrested two weeks after the theft.
