    Where did 'Ella McCay' film in RI? Here's a list of locations, from Providence to Bristol

    The filming of "Ella McCay" was not just a Hollywood thing; it was a Rhode Island thing, too.

    Although the story of a rising young politician trying to balance her political ambitions with family issues is set in an unnamed, generic U.S. state, the images on the screen will show some two dozen places throughout the Ocean State, many of which will be familiar to Rhode Islanders, though some may not be instantly recognizable.

    Stars Jamie Lee Curtis, Woody Harrelson, Emma Mackey, Albert Brooks and Spike Fearn began filming in early February and finished in early May. They visited more than a dozen sites in Providence, including the Rhode Island State House, as well as filming at locations in four suburban communities: Pawtucket, East Providence, Cranston and Bristol.
