Man arrested at checkpoint with over 130g of drugs and hidden gun
KINSTON, Lenoir County — A NC Highway checkpoint uncovers psilocybin mushrooms that led to the arrest of a Greenville man. Kinston law enforcement came in contact with Christopher Smith, 34 of Greenville during a driver's license checking station on Highway 11 on Tuesday, April 30 close to midnight. Officers searched the vehicle after observing drug violations and found a concealed handgun, more than 60 grams of psilocybin mushrooms and more than 70 grams of marijuana.
