Mankato Police seeking help in identifying car wash vandalism suspect
MANKATO, Minn. (KEYC) - Mankato Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect in vandalizing a car wash at a Kwik Trip. Police say Kwik Trip staff at 921 Coneflower Lane discovered their car wash was malfunctioning. When they reviewed surveillance footage, they saw a male enter the car wash on foot at 2:30 AM on April 27. Police say the video shows him tampering with electrical boxes and ripping out wires before leaving in a white vehicle.
Student Sustains Minor Injuries in School Bus Rear-End Collision in Mankato
Tuesday afternoon's routine came to an abrupt halt at the intersection of South Riverfront Drive and Sibley Parkway in Mankato when a school bus carrying students rear-ended a flatbed trailer. FIRST ALERT: Severe storms possible this afternoon, evening
UPDATE: Thunderstorms continue to develop and move across southern Minnesota and northern Iowa this evening. Storms will continue east, making it to the Mankato area by late afternoon to early evening, continuing to the I-35 corridor by late afternoon to early evening. The severe threat has diminished a bit, especially for locations along and north of US highway 14, however some storms could still produce severe, 60+mph wind gusts. An isolated tornado is still also possible, especially south of I-90. In addition to severe weather, locally heavy rainfall amounts of a quarter to a half inch will be possible. The First Alert Weather Team will be watching the weather closely and will have updates as storms continue to move across the region.
