KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Today is a First Alert Weather Alert Day for the potential of scattered severe thunderstorms late this afternoon and evening. Storms will first threaten northeast Kansas and northwest Missouri between 5 and 8 PM with the potential for very large hail, wind gusts over 65 mph and a tornado or two.
