    Severe storms cause damage west of Kansas City metro Tuesday

    KANSAS CITY, Mo. β€” A Severe Thunderstorm Watch remains in effect until midnight for Johnson, Miami, Leavenworth and Wyandotte counties in Kansas and Pettis, Saline, Howard and Cooper counties in Missouri.

    A Severe Thunderstorm Warning has been canceled for Wyandotte, southern Leavenworth and Johnson counties in Kansas and for western Clay, southeastern Platte and western Jackson counties in Missouri.

    Emergency Management in Jefferson County reported multiple trees and poles on fire at 37th and K-4 Highway.

    A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 11 p.m. for northeastern and east central Kansas.
