MoDOT ends Adopt a Highway program
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - MoDOT has ended a 35-year-old program and is replacing it with a new one--but many families are upset about the removal. Since 1987, Adopt a Highway has allowed people to sponsor highways in the Show Me State, but soon families will say goodbye to signs that have been placed along the highways in memory of their loved ones.

Dexter BB junior is 'veteran leader' at plate, on field

The Bearcats tore through the opening two rounds of the recent SEMO Conference Tournament and advanced to the championship game for the first time in program history before falling to Class 6 No. 10-ranked Jackson 5-0.

Three-sport (track and field, football and basketball) standout Darius Graham signed his letter of intent Wednesday to play football and compete in track and field at Missouri S&T in Rolla.
Two people injured in Butler County crash
POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. (KFVS) - Two people were injured in a vehicle crash in Butler County Friday night. According to Missouri State Highway Patrol Crash Reports, the crash took place around 8:10 p.m. on Friday, April 26. The collision was on MO AA at MO T, four miles east of Poplar Bluff.
Roper, Advance/Bell City SB close out regular season in strong fashion
There can’t possibly be a more potent or intimidating softball squad entering the MSHSAA postseason than Advance/Bell City.
