In observance of the National Day of Prayer on Thursday, May 2, a local religious group in the Statesboro community is announcing their annual Public Reading of God’s Word on the Courthouse Lawn for 2024. Two upcoming community baby showers celebrate and inform new parents
Two community baby showers are taking place in Statesboro this spring. The first event is this Saturday, April 27, 2024, and the next one is Saturday, May 4, 2024. Both events are free and will offer expecting parents or resources, information, and lots of giveaways to help them welcome their new additions to the community. Restoring the Breach and Amerigroup, Inc. are hosting a free community baby shower on April 27, 2024 at the Russell Union Ballroom on the Georgia Southern University campus from 11am to 2pm. Participants can register here for more information or email info@restoringthebreach.org. The Russell Union Ballroom is located at 85 Georgia Ave., Statesboro, GA, 30458. Then, on May 4th, Prevent Child Abuse Bulloch and South Georgia Healthy Start are partnering to host a Bump and Beyond Community Baby Shower. The event will focus on providing information about maternal health while providing free food, resources, and giveaways. More than 350 job seekers brought their resumes and their enthusiasm to the first hiring event for Bulloch County based Hyundai suppliers. Held at Ogeechee Technical College on April 17th , the job fair was sponsored by the Development Authority of Bulloch County and WorkSource Georgia in coordination with employers AJIN Georgia, SECO Ecoplastic and Hanon Systems.
