Weather service issues hazardous weather outlook for showers and thunderstorms in Northeast Ohio
CLEVELAND, Ohio - If you had outside plans this weekend, it’s time to consider moving them indoors. Much of Northeast and North Central Ohio has been issued a hazardous weather outlook. The outlook was released by the National Weather Service at 4:18 a.m., warning residents of numerous showers and thunderstorms that will develop Friday afternoon and throughout the evening.

Tracking late-day showers/storms Friday
The calendar just flipped to May; however, the temperatures will feel more like June/July on your Friday. Afternoon temperatures will rise into the low 80s for a lot of neighborhoods. The summer-like levels will be sticking around through the beginning of May, but we also have several chances at accumulating raindrops to add to our May water table. Much like April, where the message got a little stale with chances for rain almost daily, we will be playing that same tune again, starting late Friday. It doesn’t look like we will be chasing any rainfall records this month, but it sure does look unsettled as we look ahead into the weekend and beyond.

YPD finds guns, cash and drugs, during traffic stop
YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — Reports said police Thursday found two guns, $990 cash and marijuana during a North Side traffic stop. Reports said police pulled over a car about 6:30 p.m. in the 700 block of Wick Avenue for an improper turn and asked all three people inside if they had any guns. Woman wounded on Youngstown's Northside
A woman was shot early Friday on Youngstown’s Northside, according to police. Officers say the victim was wounded in the arm along Raymond Street, off Wirt Street at around 3 a.m. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment of her injury, which police say isn’t serious.
Lakeview boys basketball looking for new head coach
