MERCER Co., Ill. (KWQC) - Two people were arrested as part of an ongoing investigation involving a drug induced death at the end of 2023. On Dec. 22, the Mercer County Sheriff’s Office along with the Mercer County Coroner’s Office were called to investigate a death in rural Sherrard, Ill., according to a media release from the sheriff’s office. City of Davenport advances discussions for high-tech data center project
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - The City of Davenport is considering submitting an application to the State of Iowa High Quality Jobs Program to build a large, high-tech data center campus within city limits at the northwest corner of Hillandale Road and Enterprise Way, according to city documents. The project would include a property tax exemption and city officials say it would help provide new “High Quality Jobs” which are defined as making over $28.76 per- hour with benefits in Scott County.

Ballet Quad Cities receives anonymous $100,000 private gift
MOLINE, Ill. — On Tuesday, April 30, Ballet Quad Cities (BQC) announced that they received a $100,000 donation for the building's renovation. BQC purchased the property at 1611 5th Avenue, Moline, in Oct. 2022 and has been working on a campaign called Building Ballet Quad Cities Better to raise funds for the renovation.
