MASON — Tori Lator and Jada Houghton were individual event winners while helping Mason claim the title at its own invitational Friday. Lator won the 100 and Houghton had a personal best throw of 31-0 while winning the shot put to help the Bulldogs claim the team title with a score of 118.5. LAINGSBURG, Mich. (WILX) - Laingsburg softball head coach Jeff Cheadle sat at 899 career victories with a double-header against Ovid-Elsie on Tuesday evening. It was Burg’s offense that came alive, and the Wolfpack won game one 11-1, clinching Cheadle’s 900th career victory. With the win, Cheadle became just the 14th Michigan high school softball coach in history to get a career win No. 900.
