Bowling Green home damaged during severe storm
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - A line of tornado-warned storms moved through South Central Kentucky Sunday night, and one area of Bowling Green took the brunt of it. Numerous downed trees and power outages were reported in the immediate aftermath, and one home on Allen Michael Lane suffered extensive damage.
Storms kill 4 in Kentucky, leave towns damaged
FRANKFORT, Ky. (WSMV) - Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear announced during a press conference on Monday that four people were killed during Sunday’s storms. Governor Beshear confirmed that three women, ages 67, 62, and 48, died from injuries sustained from the storms. Additionally, a 34-year-old man was killed. Beshear also said a fifth person is in critical condition and clinging to life.

House at ‘total loss’ after being hit by lightning, according to Plano Fire Department
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - The Plano Volunteer Fire Department responded to a structure fire on Plano Road in Bowling Green on Sunday night. Part of the roadway was blocked as they worked to extinguish the fire. Chief Kevin Bailey said that they believe the unoccupied house was hit by lightning.

Thousands without power across southern Kentucky
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) – Thousands of people were without power across the region as severe storms make their way into the area. According to an outage map on Warren RECC’s website as of 4:50 pm Tuesday, around 1,100 customers are without power from 213 outages. Around 11:00 a.m. Sunday, just over 12,000 customers experienced an outage.
