ANN ARBOR, MI -- Summer is almost here, which means Sonic Lunch and its free weekly concerts will soon be coming to downtown Ann Arbor. The lineup for the weekly free outdoor concert series co-sponsored by Bank of Ann Arbor and Ann Arbor’s 107one was announced on Monday, April 29 and includes performers like Grammy award-winning Madison Cunningham, breakthrough singer/songwriter Michigander and “The Voice” finalist and Ann Arbor native Laith Al-Saadi.

ANN ARBOR, MI – Hot food and café coffee are no longer being served at the People’s Food Co-Op in Ann Arbor. The store at 216 N. Fourth Ave. hit a “plateau in terms of sales,” marketing and outreach coordinator Troy Clarke said, and the co-op closed its hot food and café bar, which offered buffet-style dishes like rosemary chicken and roasted potatoes or teriyaki tofu and honey-ginger glazed carrots.

Your taste buds can get a glimpse of the flavors of Yemeni coffee at a family-owned coffee shop called Socotra Coffee House in Ann Arbor. Zayd Alghazali and Murshed Alrabeei appeared on “Live In The D” to share the story of Socotra Coffee House. Alrabeei said they were inspired by Yemen’s rich culture and coffee landscapes.
