YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Thursday marked Youngstown’s 2024 Hope Conference.

Over 100 groups are involved in the resource fair at the Covelli Centre.

Organizers say it’s a great way for people to get all the social services they need in one place — everything from legal aid, health care, jobs, housing, children’s services and mental health care.

It’s a collaboration between the City of Youngstown and the Community Initiative to Reduce Violence (CIRV).

Organizer Guy Burney says it’s all about making the resources more accessible.

“The effort is collaborative. It’s bringing everybody together, all of these agencies and organizations to do this every day. We do it every day but they come together all in one day, in one place, makes it convenient and accessible to our community,” Burney said.

The resource fair goes until 5 p.m. Thursday.

There are also plans to bring a mobile version to Youngstown’s neighborhoods over the summer.
