YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) – Thanks to a multi-faceted campaign, one local high school was able to gather support for a new track and field to be installed.

With everything just falling into place, and the fall sports season approaching, Cardinal Mooney High School will host a groundbreaking ceremony for the new track on Monday at 11 a.m. on its current field.

Many of the track’s benefactors and figures from around the Mahoning Valley will join president and principal Nick Beyer, athletic director Carl Pelini and the board of directors at the ceremony.
