Coroner identifies man who died in fatal Youngstown stabbing

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN)- The Mahoning County Coroner’s Office has identified the man who died in a fatal stabbing over the weekend.

According to a press release, Tyrell Hodge, 26, died in the stabbing. Officers found him just after 1 a.m. Saturday in a yard in the 1500 block of Hickory Court with numerous stab wounds.

Officers rendered aid on the scene before EMTs arrived and transported him to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

The press release says that an autopsy will be conducted and the incident remains under investigation by the Mahoning County Coroner’s Office and the Youngstown Police Department.
