YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A Cleveland man who spent 20 years in prison for a murder he did not commit told his story Wednesday evening to a group of 50 people at Youngstown State University.

Laurese Glover was brought to campus by the YSU chapter of the Ohio Innocence Project, which promotes awareness of wrongful convictions.

In 1996, a 16-year-old Glover and two others were convicted of murder. In August 2016 — 20 years later — undisclosed police reports proved they were innocent and they were released from prison.

Since then, Glover has used his story to share his story and wisdom.
