Carbon capture causing concern
CLINTON — County board members recently heard a presentation from officials of Navigator CO2 about the company’s proposed carbon dioxide pipeline. The pipeline would terminate in parts of central Illinois, including DeWitt County, where it would inject CO2 emissions from ethanol plants about a mile into the ground for permanent storage.
