(WHTM)– Starting next month, PennDOT will begin repairs on a well-used bridge that is showing its age.

The Columbia-Wrightsville Bridge, which runs parallel to the Route 30 bridge linking York and Lancaster counties, is 94 years old.

Last year, PennDOT placed a 10-ton weight restriction due to the bridge’s age and condition. Interim repair work will start next month and continue through September.

These repairs will not lift the weight restriction.
