1 dead, after dirt bike collides with car in Pittsfield
PITTSFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - An investigation is underway after one man is dead in a serious motor vehicle crash on Saturday night. According to the Pittsfield Police Department, at around 7 p.m. the officers responded to the area of West Housatonic Street for a report of a car and dirt bike crash.
Two Berkshire County men accused of drug trafficking
Two Berkshire County man are facing drug trafficking charges. George Stewart, 44, of Pittsfield, is accused of possessing 300 grams of cocaine and an illegal firearm. He also had an outstanding warrant, according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office. Stewart was arraigned Friday on charges of trafficking in cocaine and five weapons charges. He is being held on $250,000 cash bail.
Lee fire under investigation
Firefighters from several towns battled a fire in Lee, Massachusetts on Friday night. The fire broke out on Cape Street at around 8:30 p.m. The Monterey Fire Department also rushed to help. Traffic on Route 20 was reduced to one lane while crews fought the fire.
