The Archers cruised ahead of the rest of the field, winning by 18 strokes over Cole Valley Christian. Ambrose shot +108 as a team, the Chargers were +126.

Entering the second round on Tuesday, Cole Valley held a two-stroke lead over Ambrose. A strong second day from the Archers won them the state title for the second time in school history. They were led by Ashley and Katrina Von Behren, who finished 1-2 individually, one stroke apart.

Ashley was 7-over for the tournament with a 75 second round score. Katrina shot a 75 on Monday but shot 77 Tuesday. Cole Valley had a pair of top five finishers — Chloe Singpraseuth finished third at 11-over and Caroline Caven was fifth at 17-over.

The top five were well above the rest of the field with Ambrose’s Ella McNicholas in sixth at 39-over.
