    Cherokee Sheriff's Office Asking for Help Finding Missing Teen

    The Cherokee Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help finding a 14-year-old who was last seen May 17.

    Mylen Pettaway, 14, was reported to the Cherokee Sheriff’s Office as a missing person/runaway.

    According to the sheriff’s office was last seen leaving his home in the Williamsburg Lane/Concord Road area off Highway 92 near Woodstock around 4 p.m. May 17. He was last seen wearing black shorts and a red windbreaker.

    He is described as Black with dreaded hair, about 5’11” and 140 pounds.

    “There is no indication of foul play or danger to the juvenile at this time,” the sheriff’s office said in a post on its Facebook page Monday.
